The retreat is intimate and affordable. As well as offering yoga and meditation for beginners, there is plenty of delicious food. And there is always time to chill and relax in a lounge, or grab a good book and settle in front of the beautiful lush National Park and look out beyond the river.

Allow yourself the opportunity to reflect and reconnect with the ‘inner you’ and to strip away the layers; to look at life in the sobering light of day.

Tais has teamed up with the Peat’s Bite family to create the ultimate in the balance between a chill-out retreat and a heavily programmed yoga retreat. It’s all about teaching people to inhabit their mind and body beneficially… it’s about self-mastery, so the Yogis can consciously improve their lives through simple, easy practice.

Soothe your nervous system, dissolve deeply rooted physical tension and holding patterns, learn about acceptance and empowerment.

Peat’s Bite stunning surroundings, serving to soften the blow, and only one hour from Sydney, are only accessible by water, or if you’re keen, a good walk through the National Park.

Be engaged by a special guest speaker, life coaches and celebrity speakers that specialise in anxiety confidence or stress management.

It’s a dream to wake up in with the mist steaming over the river, and in the evening, the abundant wildlife singing tunes at dusk. Each day, guests will have two cooking classes with the resident Peat’s Bite chef extraordinaire.

With your mind at ease and your taste buds singing, get creative with the colourful produce and simplicity of fresh food. Imagine finally having those few extra recipes under your sleeve, home-made Quinoa, Apricot and almond salad, and a myriad of other recipes.

Thankfully, guests then get to enjoy the spoils over a long lunch overlooking the garden.

In the afternoon, you might retire to your cottage and relax in comfort. If you’re feeling more adventurous, the raw beauty of nature is right around the corner.

At night, enjoy a relaxing evening with board games or play some cards, or else have long, enticing conversations with new friends.

Whatever your goals, feel clean as a whistle, reset bad habits and return to reality with the tools to live a healthier, happier, more connected life.

Next, make our way to Frigatebird Hill (Cerro Tijeretas), which is located two kilometres from the Interpretation Center, south-west of Isla San Cristobal.      20 Apr – 27 Apr 2023

From ancient Athens, embark on a colourful Greek Islands tour

Embark on a Yoga tour through the Aegean Sea, Start in Athens, Finish in Santorini, taking local ferries around the Cyclades Islands. Indulge in a little island hopping and take the time to uncover remote ruins, gorgeous beaches and outstanding scenery. Travel from the ancient capital of Athens all the way to the spectacular natural wonders on the island of Santorini on this wonderful Greek adventure.

    Why we love this trip!
    • Uncover thousands of years of civilisation in Athens with a visit to the world-famous Acropolis and the ancient Agora
    • Let the rest of the world melt away as you swim and snorkel in the warm waters of the Aegean Sea
    • Wander through the charming villages of Syros. When night falls, indulge in delicious seafood dinners in traditional tavernas as Rembetika music floats around you

    • The sight of a Santorini sunset can turn even the most hardened of souls into a romantic. Walk along the volcanic rim of the island from Thira to Oia, passing through white villages that cling to plunging cliffs

Is this trip right for you?

    • We have had reports of travellers being pickpocketed on public transport in Athens. Please be careful with your valuables while travelling on the metro or the bus.
    • Summer temperatures in Greece can reach up to 40°C, which can be uncomfortable for those not used to the heat. On the other hand, early in the season (April) many businesses may still be closed and the weather is unpredictable, however you may have some of the major sights of the Greek islands almost to yourself. Please consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season.
    • Due to the current financial situation, banking services in Greece could potentially become limited at short notice. This includes credit card processing services and servicing of ATMs. When travelling through Greece, please ensure you have more than one means of payment with you (cash, debit cards, credit cards etc.). You’ll also need to have sufficient Euros in cash to cover emergencies, unforeseen circumstances and any unexpected delays.
    • As accommodation on this trip is twin-share, single travellers will share a room with another traveller of the same sex. If you’d prefer not to share, a single room supplement is available at an additional charge. Please ask your travel consultant for more details. Also, hotels in Europe often don’t have double beds, but rather two single beds that can be pushed together.

Kalimera! Welcome to Greece. As there’s not much time to explore Athens on this trip before you head out to the islands, arriving a few days early is recommended. Highlights include the renowned changing of the guard at Syntagma (Parliament) Square, the National Gardens, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the original Olympic Stadium and of course the Acropolis, where you can enter the Pantheon and enjoy fabulous views over the city. Maybe join an Urban Adventure day trip, such as ‘Taste of Athens’ or ‘Markets, Ruins and Ancient Athens’. You could also take a day trip to the Peloponnese peninsula via ancient Epidavros and the Corinthian canal. After the welcome meeting, perhaps head out for some gyros and ouzo with your new travel companions.

Syros is also home to delicious sweets – take a wander through the main town of Ermoupolis, home to gorgeous neoclassical mansions and 19th-century tenement blocks, and try the hazelnut, almond or honey-filled wafers or the fruit-flavoured jelly from one of many one-room shops. If you have time while you’re here, perhaps head to one of Santorini’s volcanic beaches, such as Red Beach or the black beaches of Perissa, Vlhada, Perivolos or Agios Georgios. Be sure to try some of the island’s delicious food – the nutrient-filled volcanic soil makes the ingredients grown here full of flavour.

In 1500 BC a volcanic eruption sank the centre of Santorini, forming one of the most significant geological formations on the planet – the awe-inspiring caldera. The spectacular natural beauty of this caldera is what makes Santorini such a special place. Today make an excursion along the crater rim, starting in Thira town and walking through little villages all the way to Oia, passing steep cliff faces and experiencing breathtaking views along the way (approximately 2.5–3 hours of walking). If you have time, you might also like to take a half-day trip to the island’s volcano and hot springs in the centre of the lagoon. Or perhaps visit one of the island’s wineries – the vines here are cultivated in a very unusual way, with the plants being pruned to form a low basket shape that sits on top of the volcanic soil to protect the grapes from strong winds. On the last evening of your adventure, rub shoulders with friendly locals in packed pubs and cafes, sipping a cocktail as you witness a magnificent Santorini sunset.

Watch as locals casually smoke their huge cigars on the doorsteps of their homes, and hear the old Chevrolets rumbling by. Kick things off by strolling along the cobbled streets and marvelling at some of the colourful colonial architecture on display (this town was put on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1988 for good reason). During your orientation walk you visit the Santeria Priest to learn more about the unique religion followed in this area. For some seaside fun, head down to Playa Ancon and stroll its long stretches of white sand. Furthermore, you can go for a snorkel too. Just be careful when you’re in the water, as sea urchins can be a problem here. Back on the land, you can go cycling or hiking. If you rent a bicycle, be careful on the cobblestones, and remember your bike will be of the vintage variety. Moreover, the trekking is great in the Sierra del Escambray, the local mountains. A folklore dance and music show in one of the open-air venues is highly recommended – a great chance to immerse yourself in Cuba’s African, French and Spanish-influenced music and dance culture.Optional Activities in Trinidad
